Based in Gainesville, Florida Vegans for Peace is a real, face-to-face community and an online space for vegans, aspiring vegans and friends of vegans to gather. Mindful that veganism is not just a diet, but a way of living that seeks to avoid the use and exploitation of others, Florida Vegans for Peace (FVP) is dedicated to deepening the understanding of our obligations to other animals - nonhuman as well as human ones. FVP works with and through its members to find social and political solutions to the problems of inequality, injustice and intolerance.

If you are concerned with social, political and moral justice for all the creatures who share our world, then FVP is for you. If you are vegan, or are interested in veganism - including how easy it is to become vegan and live vegan, then FVP is for you. If you want a place where civil discussions about difficult problems are not only welcomed but encouraged, then FVP is for you. Finally, if you want to be where friendly people work to make the world a better place, then Florida Vegans for Peace is just for you!!
